About Pulse PCN

Supported by PulseToday.co.uk
Pulse PCN is the award-winning brand for primary care networks, established and supported by leading GP brand Pulse. Launched in April 2021, we are the only brand dedicated to the work of this tranche of primary care leaders and staff working across neighbourhoods.
Following the success of serving and informing PCNs over the last four years, and in recognition of the growth of primary care staff hired through the additional roles reimbursement scheme (ARRS), Pulse PCN is now established as its own standalone site delivering news, views, insight and roundtables.
Sign up to receive regular newsletters from Pulse PCN. If you are already subscribed, we ask that you please update your current job title and preferences to ensure you receive relevant articles and information.
There is also a Pulse PCN events series that takes place in London, Birmingham, Newcastle and Liverpool.
We are guided by our board of clinical directors drawn from London, Kent, Yorkshire and Cheshire and our team of expert columnists: chair of the NHS Confederation primary care network group Prof Aruna Garcea; PCN clinical director Dr Sian Stanley; PCN management expert Tara Humphrey and consultant Ben Gowland. (see below)
We also now feature comment from leaders in the professions included in the ARRS, as well as those working at the coalface in these PCN roles.
Pulse PCN delivers two newsletters a week, along with regular updates via our LinkedIn group and company page. Sign up to connect with your PCN community.
What clinical directors say about Pulse PCN
“Pulse PCN is uniquely placed as the only publication that properly tackles the day-to-day issues faced by practices working at scale. Topical issues are swiftly reported on, and all aspects of an issue are covered.
‘We will often share stories on our PCN WhatsApp group which then starts debate and supports direction of travel. We use ideas we see covered as the basis for considering new workstreams. I consider it my first line news source for topical PCN issues.”
Dr Laura Mount, clinical director, Central and West Warrington PCN, Cheshire
“Pulse PCN is indeed an invaluable resource for both PCNs and practices with topical content very relevant to day-to-day challenges in Primary Care as a whole.”
Dr Sarit Ghosh, clinical director, Enfield Unity PCN, London
“Pulse PCN is particularly useful because it offers tailored insights, practical guidance, practical discussions and the latest updates on Primary Care Networks (PCNs), helping us navigate challenges, implement best practice, and stay informed about policies and innovations”
Dr Geetha Chandrasekaran, clinical director, North Halifax PCN, West Yorkshire
“Pulse PCN in an invaluable source of support. To have such a concentration of expertise focusing on the key issues relevant to us is what makes Pulse PCN so valuable.”
Dr Jeremy Carter clinical director of Herne Bay PCN, Kent
